A classic gift from Mothers and Grandmothers to their Little Girls, "Sunbonnet Sue" quilts seem to embody that sweet kind of love.
Made in the 1930s or 1940s, it is full of Depression-era cottons. Each of the pleasantly plump Sues has a print dress. The dresses in these quilts were often made from scraps of the little girls' dresses.
And each Sue has a solid colored arm and fancy hat ~ all hand embroidered.
Well made ~ hand appliqued and embroidered throughout. Excellent Condition with one discoloration, visible in the full photo below. Flat and lightweight, strong and sturdy.
