This treasure goes well beyond the "sweetness" that characterizes most of the 20th century Wedding Ring quilts you see. Oh, that red!
Hand quilted, with stylized flowers in the (glorious) red centers of the rings. Sewn by a skilled quilt maker ~ these pieced curved seams can be tricky. Small pieces, and lots of them!
She also chose to finish her quilt with scalloped edges (on all four sides), and a separately applied white cotton binding. She was good!
The quilt is in excellent condition. Flat and square. Medium loft. The all-cotton fabrics are strong and sturdy with no weakness.
