PUBLISHED!

A photograph of this very quilt appears in "A Treasury of Amish Quilts"
by Ken and Rachel Pellman, published in 1990.

The full photo of the quilt appears on page 45.

Interestingly, the color of the photo in the book printed very differently
than the actual colors of the quilt.

Our photos are much more accurate, though we have found that the color in Amish quilts
is very difficult to duplicate when printed.

The beautiful, often saturated colors the Amish women seem to elude the camera,
perhaps in an odd kind of poetic echoing of the Amish people,
most of whom themselves will not be photographed...

But I digress...

This beautiful, and beautifully made quilt is
entirely cottons and is characteristic of older Amish quilt, in solid colors.

The hand quilting is terrific, not surprising to find in an authentic Amish quilt.

The dense crosshatch quilting throughout the middle
and in the cables in the borders are in fine, even stitches,
executed at a very impressive 12 - 13 per inch, counting one side only !

Flat and square, lightweight, with a separately applied blue cotton binding.
Precisely pieced by a skilled Amish needlewoman...

Pretty darn near MINT CONDITION with no wear, tears, or holes.
The quilt appears unused.

The all cotton fabrics are strong and sturdy with no weakness at all.
No fading nor stains.

A Fresh-to-the Market Amish Beauty!
