The woman who made this Turn-of-the-Century all-cotton Crazy Quilt,
hand embroidered feather stitching
over every single seam.
She used white thread of a thin gauge ~ sewing thread
and, executing a confident, even subtle stitch.
Hand made "on foundation," this top is full of a wonderful array of
late 19th century printed fabrics.
In EXCELLENT CONDITION;
appears unused with no holes, tears, thinning, fades, or stains.
