Fantastic Hand Quilting
Check out the wonderful fine and dense hand quilting
on this classic indigo and white Double Irish Chain.
The precisely pieced patchwork blocks are beautifully hand quilted
in dense crosshatch designs;
each alternate (white) blocks is filled with an elaborate variation
of the traditional, elegant Feathered Wreath.
The fine hand quilting is executed in small, even stitches,
measuring 9 - 10 per inch, counting one side only.
A fine, lightweight quilt, this one is in EXCELLENT CONDITION
with no wear, tears, holes, fading or stains.
Indigo print and white cotton are completely sturdy.
with no fabric weakness.
The quilt appears unused. It had some light storage soil,
so we had it professionally washed.
Clean and bright.
We like the way the quilt maker surrounded the pieced design
with a lively Sawtooth border, an elaborately quilted white frame.
She finished the quilt with a separately applied white cotton binding.
