Traditional Pattern ~ Unusual Treatment

The Indiana Amish woman who made this quilt organized her colors to create the illusion of a central medallion. A simple task resulting in a memorable treatment of a Bowtie, a traditional pattern.

The success of this terrific quilt might also be attributed to some of her other decisions:

She used small scale pieces (and plenty of them), and she quilted the borders with elegant, flowing feathers ~ a counterpoint to the severe angles of the Bowties. The hand quilting, executed at about 9 stitches per inch (counting one side only), is in dark thread.

All cottons and in excellent, sturdy condition.

The buyer will receive copies of the official paperwork from Esprit's records.
