What More Can You Ask For?

In this cheerful, folky 19th century applique (and reverse applique) quilt,
the quilt maker placed her blocks "on point,"
and set them within a strong, colorful diagonal setting.

She surrounded her center with three borders, which echo the interior colors,
and frame the lively center section ~

where each block features
three large, luscious flowers bursting forth from small pots.
This very imaginative, playful quilt maker added itty-bitty red baskets
and small red birds in the blocks at the edges.

Quilted in nice even hand stitches ~
crosshatch in the gridding, and multiple cables in the borders.

EXCELLENT CONDITION.

A Folk Art Treasure.
