Yummy!
We hope you enjoy the many gorgeous printed fabrics in this
handsome, well-made, early beauty. Delicious!
Working with many different browns prints,
the quilt maker chose and organized the tones in a most pleasing way.
A very talented designer, she placed the darkest fabrics
to create the illusion of three "borders."
She was also a skilled needlewoman;
check out how meticulously pieced the triangles are.
This 19th century "Birds in the Air" is hand quilted in a design
that echoes and intensifies the strong geometry of the patchwork.
Excellent Condition.
The quilt appears to be unused and unwashed.
Only one fabric is weakening; it's used in 24 of the small triangles.
Quilt is flat and thin, square and lightweight.
Separately bound in yet another beautiful brown print.
