Recently professionally laundered, this stunningly graphic Folk Art treasure is in very good, sturdy condition. It is a summer spread, finished with a binding brought around from the back.
No batting, and minimal hand quilting.
Although the family from whom this was purchased is from Upstate New York, the color, design, and overall format suggest a Southern origin. A note pinned to the quilt reads: "Made for Betty, by Grandmother Julia Moore, 1856 - 1923."
