The Grandmother Connection
Grandmothers have made quilts for as long as there has been a quilt making tradition. That’s not too surprising. What may be new is how many thoroughly modern quilt makers have continued and enriched the tradition, adding quilts made for, and because of grandmothers.
This slide talk, which includes many quilts never seen elsewhere, illustrates some wonderfully rich and colorful stories that connect Quilts and Grandmothers.
Among the quilt makers with moving and illuminating stories: Therese May, Judy Warren, and Terri Hancock Mangat.
