Wools

We LOVE Wool Challis
...

These wools absorb dyes in a very saturated way ~

and seem to simply glow.

This late 19th century Pennsylvania quilt maker had such a good eye ~

her choice of sashing with that wool paisley is great,
and the addition of a stripped diagonal border really works, too.

By adding those strips of solid aqua, each right next to the paisleys,

she allows our eye to rest and take in what she created.

And the dotted black and white fabric...

And the great cotton print on the back. And the red "bowtie" centers...
And balancing her corners...
And everything.
Great quilt!

The quilt is hand quilted and in Excellent Condition

Flat and square.
