This crib quilt, measuring 38 x 40 inches has been professionally washed, just to remove some minor surface soil acquired in storage. So it is Fresh and Clean ~
and in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
No wear, tears, fading or stains. The all cotton fabrics are intact with no weakness at all. Strong and sturdy, the quilt is ready to use or hang.
Someone took a good deal of loving time to make this wonderful little quilt 70 or 80 years ago.
The quilt maker was careful to use a scale appropriate to a small quilt. Each of the hundreds of little square measures only 1 inch square.
(Many crib use the proportions of a large quilt, but this one is in scale with the small size of the quilt.)
Hand quilted throughout, with dense crosshatch quilting in the borders. She finished her quilt by adding a separately applied cotton binding, to match the solid blue sashing within.
This one is full of terrific Depression Era cotton fabrics ~ bright and happy!
