Long and narrow, (or WIDE and narrow),
this early 20th century quilt makes
a very dramatic and graphic wall hanging.
It is a tied quilt, with "Crazy Quilt" designs on each side.
The "back" (as Esprit chose it) has strips of Velcro on all four sides
for displaying the "front" (as Esprit chose it).
The piecing on the FRONT creates an interesting abstract design,
which is only enhanced by "snow flurries" effect
created the many, many white knots
created the many, many white knots
The "BACK" is shown below in the last two photos.
There, the overall design is built around a intense, detailed center.
Wonderful, handsome use of color.
The front of the quilt is in Very Good Condition,
with only one piece of fabric showing wear.
The back is a bit rough, with several shattering or missing pieces.
This piece comes with paperwork verifying its provenance
as part of the Esprit Quilt Collection.
