" Whig's Defeat 'Deconstructed' "
That's the way one clever friend of ours described this fascinating piece.
All of the elements of the traditional quilt pattern "Whig's Defeat" are here,
but organized in a unique way. This quilt maker marched to her own needle...
We have traced this top's journey back to Georgia,
where it was purchased from a dealer,
but we are on the trail to see if we can find out more about where it was made.
Very cool and unusual Ninepatch intersections.
In EXCELLENT CONDITION.
This folky, charming textile is both hand and machine appliqued.
