We love the simplicity and directness of this circa 1930s "Bowties" quilt.

in the orange/salmon block you can see how the quilt maker organized her piecework.

She constructed this as she would have a Bowties
but then arranged her colors to belie that pattern, so it looks like a Diamond in the Square.
Hand pieced and hand quilted, the quilt is in very good condition.
It is flat and lightweight and would be
great on a wall.
