DRESDEN PLATE
Unknown Quilt Maker
Collected in Ohio
68 x 84 inches
Circa 1930
Cottons
Clear, Cheery and Bright!
The clear colors used, the nice distribution of darks and lights,
the consistent use of a gold center ~
and the addition of the green pinwheel-y appliques
bring this 1930s Dresden Plate a "step above..."
It looks like the quilt maker may have used a drinking glass
as her (hand) quilting template, overlapping them to excellent effect.
A wonderful display of typical Depression-era cottons.
Separately bound with a pleasing pink cotton binding.
In Excellent Condition.
Price: $325
