"CONTAINED" LOG CABIN
Unknown Quilt Maker
Collected in Pennsylvania
70 x 74 inches
Circa 1930
Cottons
"Contained"
Here the quilt maker separated the traditional Log Cabin blocks,
alternating them with squares of un-pieced (double pink) fabric. Rather unusual.
All cottons, and in excellent condition
with very good hand quilting ~ stylized flowers.
Although this has a 19th century look, the cotton prints
are primarily Depression era, circa 1930.
The quilt maker added double goalpost borders for a very strong finish.
